What is Suncadia?

It’s a mountain resort community that’s both close and away, just 90 minutes east of Seattle. Where you can be in nature, and true to yours. Mountain biking or sipping whiskey. On a fairway. In a kayak. Swimming in the spa pool. Or just taking in another sunny day (we have 200+ a year) on your gorgeous back patio — because you can live here too. This is Suncadia. Where the Cascades rise, the sun shines, and nature is inspiring fresh new ways to live and play.

Our Story

11,000-year-old story (But We’ll Keep It Brief)

For two decades, Suncadia has been, arguably, Seattle’s most beloved nearby mountain resort. But our story actually traces back to the last ice age, whose push and pull shaped our beautiful landscape, which nurtured the native Yakama, prospectors, coal miners and pioneers before us. As a member of the Kittitas Conservation Trust, Suncadia is committed to honoring this extraordinary history and land through sustainable building practices, prioritizing open spaces, and preserving pristine forests and meadows. Out of our 6,400 acres only 2,000 will ever be developed – ensuring the enjoyment and beauty of the land for future generations.
