Fall for Good Times at the Suncadia Harvest Festival

It’s almost time to bid farewell to summer—and welcome fall with open arms! The arrival of the cooler months setting the scene for truly picturesque moments at Suncadia, with the changing hues of the leaves, crisp mountain air and clear skies creating the perfect backdrop for a season of celebration within the community. Whether it is for a quick weekend trip with friends and family, or a holiday for Halloween or Thanksgiving—the season is chock-full of reasons for a road trip—including, of course, the Harvest Festival.

The unofficial kick-off for the season in Suncadia, the festival is now 14 years old, and is a vibrant two-weekend celebration of all things fall. Set to be hosted at the historic Nelson Farm, it brings back all the community favorites, including the hay maze, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pony and wagon rides, as well as a pumpkin archery tournament and a market.

The little ones are in for a special treat with the Touch-A-Truck event, which allows kids to get up-close and personal with some of their favorite big rigs. This is a ticketed initiative, and a portion of the proceeds go to support local fire departments.

On both weekends, live performances by Chinook Entertainment will have you grooving, moving and cheering, while light bites from food trucks and Dru Bru’s menu of beverages keep your appetite and thirst at bay.

Of course, The Big Dirty Run will make a comeback this year too, with a special 5k course that winds through the muddy backwoods trails of Suncadia’s Nelson Preserve neighborhood and includes some new obstacles this year. The reward for making it through to the finish is a cold glass of beer (or root beer for the kids) to toast your muddy victory.

The Suncadia Harvest Fest will be held on October 5-6 & 12-13, 2019 from 10am-5pm at Nelson Farm—see all that’s in store for you here.

The Big Dirty Run will be held on October 12 and will begin at Nelson Farm. Please purchase your tickets and check the full agenda here.

We’ll see you there!
