Nothing says “welcome everybody” like youth tees on every hole. But low-handicap golfers will feel equally welcome, challenged by plenty of layout variety including exciting elevation changes.(Check out this flyover.) Built on the site of three historic Roslyn coal mines, this 7,300 yard, 72 par Jacobsen Hardy course is intriguingly influenced by remaining mine foundations, portals and even a 120-foot hill of coal tailings. Rope Rider Golf Course was named after the coal miners who routinely balanced themselves on the coal cars that maneuvered the steep slopes of mine shafts.

Three holes, each with two tee boxes. And free. What more could you want for a quick session with the kids? Or for experienced players with limited time, or who need a pre-game warm-up? Adjacent to Swiftwater Cellars Winery, Rope Rider Golf Park is also rentable for corporate and private gatherings, such as bachelor and bachelorette parties.
